Radware has been once again recognized as an industry leader in the application protection market in a series of new analyst reports.
Radware was recognized as a Leader and a Fast Mover by GigaOm in their latest GigaOm Radar for Application and API Security (AAS). Additionally, Radware was recognized as a Leader by KuppingerCole, in their Leadership Compass: Web Application Firewall (WAF) report. Finally, Radware was recognized as a Strong Performer in Gartner’s latest Peer Insights Voice of the Customer for Web and API Protection (WAAP), where it also received a 99% ‘Willing to Recommend’ score from its customers.
These latest awards, which join similar reports over the past months, demonstrate Radware’s persistent commitment to product and service excellent, and our ability to stay ahead of the curve when it comes to web application protection.
Staying Ahead of New AI Threats
One of the areas where Radware has been heavily investing in recent years is AI-powered automation and automated protections.
As web application threats are becoming more complex, organizations are facing a shortage of skilled staff who can operate cyber protections and remediate application threats. Moreover, as generative AI tools are growing in popularity and capabilities, attackers are increasingly using LLM-based GenAI tools to generate attacks, tailor them to specific targets, and reduce time-to-attack.
As a result, organizations need their own defensive AI capabilities to protect them against attackers, and this is one of the key areas where Radware has been investing the most.
It is no wonder, therefore, that Radware was specifically praised by GigaOm for our AI detection and mitigation capabilities, in their newest GigaOm Radar for Application and API Security (AAS):
“Radware is the only vendor in this analysis to earn a top score on the AI enhanced vulnerability detection criterion. Radware includes everything that we currently look for in this feature; the AI vulnerability enhancement system uses both IP and application layer information to learn of attacks to protect against and offer suggestions to IT.”
In addition, Radware earned top scores for our bot protection capabilities, noting that we are the only vendor in the market to offer zero-interruption crypto-challenge capabilities.
Looking at Radware’s application protection offering as a whole, GigaOm concludes that “Radware has amassed a broad selection of deeply integrated tools that are available à la carte to build the protection that an organization needs” and that “organizations with a complex architecture should have Radware on their list of options.”
Maintaining Overall Excellence
However, apart from security excellence and innovation in AI, the recently released report by security analyst firm KuppingerCole demonstrates Radware’s excellence across the entire spectrum of web application security.
Ones of the things that makes KuppingerCole’s Leadership Compass: Web Application Firewall (WAF) stand out is the fact that it examines not only overall market leadership, but also looks specifically at sub-categories of Product Capabilities, Innovation, and Market presence. Not only was Radware recognized by KuppingerCole as an overall Leader but was also ranked as a Leader in each of the individual sub-categories of Product Capabilities, Innovation, and Market.
This is the second consecutive time that Radware was named a 4x leader by KuppingerCole, after their 2022 edition of this report.
Some of Radware’s strengths listed by KuppingerCole include:
- API attack surface protection
- Innovative API-based, out-of-path deployment modes
- Automated security policy generation & automated continuous policy optimization
- Effective use of ML (Machine Learning) and DL (Deep Learning) to protect against malicious bots and zero-day attacks, and to minimize the number of false positives
- Flexible deployment options
- Extensive support for various compliance requirements
- All Radware's solutions come with a reporting and actionable analytics engine
- The ERT (Emergency Response Team) provides in-depth threat research and support to mitigate various security incidents
It is no wonder, therefore, that KuppingerCole concluded that “Radware is highly innovative and should be considered when evaluating an organization's WAF.”
Surpassing Customer Expectations
Finally, security excellence and innovation are meaningless if they do not address customer needs and translate into tangible value for the protected organization. This is, again, a place where Radware shines in the latest Gartner Peer Insights “Voice of the Customer” for Cloud Web Application and API Protection (WAAP).
Not only was Radware ranked a ‘Strong Performer’ by Gartner in the WAAP market, but a whopping 99% of Radware customers surveyed in this report would recommend Radware to their peers.
Moreover, on Gartner’s Peer Insights review website, verified Radware customers awarded Radware an average overall score of 4.8 out of 5 stars, with similar ratings for Product Capabilities, Integration and Deployment, and Service and Support.

These scores demonstrate the levels of customer satisfaction experienced by Radware’s customers, and Radware’s commitment to service excellence, in addition to product excellence and innovation.
The fact that Radware can consistently replicate these rankings across different reports, analyst firms, and metrics, and repeat them year-after-year, is a testament to Radware’s commitment to excellence across all aspects of application protection, and our desire to ensure that our customers are protected against the latest threats to the fullest extent.
