HONG KONG November 26, 2007 02:00 PM

Radware (NASDAQ:RDWR), the leading provider of integrated application delivery solutions for business-smart networking, today announced that City University of Hong Kong (CityU) has successfully deployed Radware's DefensePro 3020 security device for its unique behavior-based DDOS protection, network worm propagation protection, advanced intrusion prevention and customized Botnet protection. The new system will enable CityU to detect and react against network attacks in real-time.

CityU's network often serves a population that is technologically savvy and highly dependent on Internet access for critical applications. Alex Lam, Campus Network Administrator of CityU, said "For a university staying at the technology forefront and serving a huge population, the ability to ensure detection of any potential intrusions and to respond to unwanted network intrusions while they are happening is absolutely crucial."

"Network intrusions such as IRC/Botnet attack could be detected through Radware's customized Botnet detection scheme," said Mr. Lam. "Both Radware's behavior-based DDOS, network worm propagation protection, and customization security service are unprecedented in the market and played an important role in helping us to deliver on our objectives."

"Our sophisticated security solution is designed to address the broad range of functions, which are crucial for business-smart networking and therefore enable our customers to enhance network security and increase productivity so that IT becomes a strategic business contributor," said Maurice Wong, Country Manager, Radware, Hong Kong. "Universities like City University of Hong Kong face tremendous challenges with security protection. Our behavior-based, intrusion prevention and denial-of-service (DoS) protections that immediately detect viruses, intrusions, Trojans, worms and DoS attacks, will be instrumental in our efforts to help serve university network users."
