Radware (NASDAQ; RDWR) the leading provider of Intelligent Application Switching (IAS) solutions ensuring the end-to-end availability, performance and security of networked applications across the enterprise, announced the immediate availability of protection against Mytob.CG worm. Mytob.CG is a memory resident worm that propagates by sending itself as an email attachment using it's own SMTP engine. The worm scans the hard drive of the infected computer for email addresses and sends itself to them. The worm connects to an IRC server for further commands by its author and downloads a backdoor, consequently compromising the entire network.
