Leading Japanese cloud computing and data center services provider selects Radware’s Attack Mitigation Solution to defend against cyber attacks
Radware® (NASDAQ: RDWR), a leading provider of application delivery and application security solutions for virtual and cloud data centers, today announced that IDC Frontier Inc., a leading cloud computing and data center service provider has selected Radware's Attack Mitigation System, (AMS) powered by DefensePro®, a real-time, attack mitigation device to protect its new cloud-based network service from distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks.
IDC Frontier Inc. is a subsidiary of Yahoo! JAPAN and provides cloud, data center, hosting and IP network services. It also develops and provides high-value added services including SaaS/PaaS/IaaS for its customers, so that they can take advantage of cloud computing as well as open platforms.
With the introduction of a new cloud-based network service named "IDC Frontier Network Service", IDC Frontier was in need of a more robust security solution that could detect and mitigate emerging network attacks in real time such as zero-minute attacks, DoS/DDoS attacks and application misuse attacks ― all without the need for human intervention and without blocking legitimate user traffic.
After a stringent evaluation, IDC Frontier replaced their existing security solution with multiple units of Radware’s DefensePro.
“As an infrastructure partner, IDC Frontier has its own data center and network infrastructure and supports growth of our customers' businesses by responding to a wide variety of needs for high-quality IT infrastructure such as cloud computing, data centers, broadband networks, and advanced operation services,” says Seiji Ishida, director of IDC Frontier Inc. and head of the Customer Service Division.
“In order to provide our IDC Frontier Network Service, we selected DefensePro because of its superior capability and features that other vendors couldn’t match. We will continue to enhance our network services so that we can provide IT infrastructure on-demand, which our customers can use anytime they need,” added Mr. Ishida.
“Cyber-attacks are evolving much quicker and have become more complex. Radware's DefensePro enables cloud and hosting businesses to offer various levels of attack mitigation services to their customers in order to better secure their business,” says Hidesuke Kawata, President of Nihon Radware K.K. “We are committed to supporting IDC Frontier Inc., and very pleased they have selected our security solution.
